Hi, I’m Alyssa—a filmmaker, writer, and CREATIVE STRATEGIST based on California’s Central Coast.
Alyssa Toledo is a filmmaker, writer, and creative producer based on California’s Central Coast, driven by a deep love of storytelling in all its forms—film, theatre, and the everyday moments that shape who we are.
Her work is rooted in emotion, memory, and connection. Alyssa’s award-winning narrative short, inspired by her father—an immigrant farm worker who lost his own father in a tragic farming accident—earned Best Narrative Short at multiple film festivals. The project reflects the kind of stories she’s drawn to: personal, human, and quietly powerful.
As an independent creator, Alyssa raised nearly $18,000 through Seed&Spark to bring her work to life, building a community of supporters who believe in the stories she tells. She has collaborated with high-level producers, artists, and creatives across film and media, and her work has reached hundreds of thousands of viewers online, continuing to grow an engaged audience.
Alongside her narrative work, Alyssa has built a strong background in communications, marketing, and digital media, working with brands, organizations, and influencers to create content that is both strategic and story-driven. From social campaigns to video production, she brings a filmmaker’s eye to everything she creates—blending authenticity with impact.
She is also an arts and culture journalist for KCBX Radio, where she produces feature stories that highlight artists, performances, and creative communities along the Central Coast—continuing her commitment to uplifting local voices and meaningful work.
Currently, Alyssa is writing her first feature film, Blue Honey, and developing her first original musical melodrama, Peter Pismo and Wendy, a bold, playful project rooted in her love for theatre and character-driven storytelling.
At the heart of it all, Alyssa is interested in one thing: creating work that makes people feel something real—and reminding us why stories matter in the first place.
